But these companies can't survive unless some users shell out their hard-earned cash for paid antivirus utilities. Piling on pro-only tools and components is one way companies encourage upgrading to a paid antivirus. Avira Antivirus Pro adds several components not available to users of Avira Free Security, but they don't really add much value. The biggest reason to pay for it is if you want to use Avira in a commercial setting, which isn't allowed with the free version.Avira's pricing is undeniably on the high side, with a list price of $59.88 per year for one license, $71.88 for three, and $95.88 for five. Sephora just announced new changes to its Beauty Insider loyalty program, giving shoppers more ways to save money on purchases in-store and online. The news comes a little over a week after the beauty retailer gave notice of the reopening of 70 stores across the country amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The updated rewards program includes a new feature, Beauty Insider Cash, which gives members money off their purchase at checkout. Five-hundred points takes $10 off your total instantly. This is paired with members-only events called Discount & Point Multiplier Events, where shoppers can earn points faster on beauty products and exchange them for savings. Sephora is already known for its amazing members-only and public sale events, so these added bonus events will give even more incentive for its Insiders, VIB, and Rouge members.

As more business is done online, Sephora added free shipping for all members; Rouge members will qualify for free shipping on all purchases, VIB-level members on purchases of $35 or more, and Insiders when they spend $50 or more.

Part of the biggest draw for the Sephora Beauty Insider program is the access to product samples — a perk that has been revamped as well. Rouge members can enjoy first access to new product launches starting in the fall, and all members will be privy to a new birthday gift offering. This advantage will allow members to choose products from new categories including hair care and body care from some of their favorite brands.

Exclusive experiences like meet and greets, trips, and unique events will also be available to members in exchange for points, but social-distancing restrictions will have to be lifted before this perk kicks in. Until then, the exclusive experiences will be offered virtually.
