The best place to purchase a copy of Kaspersky Anti-Virus is from Kaspersky itself. However, you can often find deals through other vendors. Trouble resetting computer and getting some scanners to work - Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Help - BleepingComputer

Hello, and good morning.

I am having some problems with my Lenovo Ideacentre 300s-11IBR. It has an Intel® Pentium® CPU J3710 @ 1.60GHz processor, 4.00 GB Installed RAM (3.88 GB useable), 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor running Windows 10 Home version 1809.

A couple of days ago, my computer couldn't go beyond the 7% completion mark upon three clean/remove all reset attempts. Instead, I was taken to a blue screen with four selections that I could choose from:

The 1st selection had an icon of an arrow pointing right and said: "Continue Exit and Continue to Windows 10"

The 2nd selection had an icon of a disc & flash drive and said: "Use a device Use a USB drive, network connection, or Windows recovery DVD.

The 3rd selection had an icon of a screwdriver and wrench and said: "Troubleshoot Reset your PC or see advanced options"

And the 4th selection had an icon of a power on and off symbol, and said: "Turn off your PC"

After clicking the "Troubleshoot" selection and then "Advanced Options" I saw: System restore, Uninstall updates, System Image Recovery, Startup Repair, Command Prompt, UEFI Firmware Settings, and See more recovery options."

I have regularly reset my computer in the past without seeing noticeable problems, but for some reason it does not want to cooperate with me. Prior to the recent reset attempt, I also tried to run eset's online scanner and the definitions wouldn't load to begin scanning. I believe I got an "error 101" instead. Though, adwcleaner worked, as did RogueKiller. I deleted/quarantined a bunch of items that adwcleaner flagged, most of which, I assume is from my Panda anti-virus.

When I clicked to get back to Windows 10, I saw a message prompting me:

"There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made. Close."

I also had to change from my Panda AV to Kaspersky.

When I tried to re-install Panda, it told me that "...another program is currently using this file...", and that "...there was an error during the process and it failed to complete successfully..."

Some glitchy behaviors I've also recently experienced is going to Amazon's customer service section and requesting them to call my phone. Recently it couldn't seem to process the request...instead, I had to manually dial their number. Youtube occasionally reloads video lists back to the top as I am scrolling down...I'm not sure if any of these are issues related to the problem at hand but I figure it's worth mentioning.

Can someone please help me diagnose whether this is a hardware or security issue and help me fix the problem?

I would appreciate any input I can get.

Thanks again
